Cast your absentee ballot or vote on November 8 during the Volunteer & Sponsor Reception. At our 73rd Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony, we’ll enjoy a buffet dinner and recognize those who have gone above and beyond to help the land as Cooperator, Volunteer and Educator of the Year.  A banquet ticket is required and includes reception, dinner and awards ceremony.  Register.
 
River Round Up Was a Success!

On Saturday, September 9, 2017, 320 adults and 111 minors participated in the 23rd annual Licking County River Round Up event to clean up trash, metal, tires and recyclables from waterways throughout the county. Approximately 30 miles of waterways were successfully cleaned with volunteers collecting a total of over 20,000 pounds of trash, recyclables, scrap metal and tires.  Read more.

Collect Milkweed Pods Now.

We’re accepting common milkweed seed pods through November 1.  Collecting and planting milkweed seeds creates much-needed habitat for monarch butterflies.  Learn how and when to collect seed pods here.  Read more.
 
Learn During Our Cover Crop Field Day.

Volunteer with Us Indoors and in the Great Outdoors! 
  • Help us indoors, by packaging milkweed seeds.  Schedule an hour or more at a time convenient for you.  We’re flexible!  Call the office, 740-670-5330. 
  • Outdoors, let’s get our native plant gardens ready for winter.  Helpers can collect and keep native plant seeds for personal use.  We’re hosting volunteer days at the Hartford Fairgrounds on Thursday, October 26, 10a – 2p and in Newark on Friday, October 27, 10a – 2p.  For more details and to RSVP visit our FACEBOOK PAGE or contact Kennedy, AmeriCorps@lickingswcd.com, 740-670-5330.
