Blanchard River Demonstration Farms Network Spring Bus Tour
Join the Blanchard River Demonstration Farms Network Spring Bus Tour and get an up-close-and-personal experience with three local farms and farmers involved with implementing new and established conservation practices in the Blanchard River Watershed. The demonstration farms in northwest Ohio are part of five year, $1 million partnership between USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation.
The event is free and open to the public but you must register. Buses will be placed at a central location pick up and you will be taken around to all three farms to hear from industry experts and the farmers themselves. Conservation practices on premises will include: cover crops, Edge of Field monitoring, manure management, sub-surface nutrient placement, wetland, pollinator habitats, drainage water management structures and many more.
