  body of Licking County Soil & Water Conservation District.  The governing
  body is referred to as the Board of Supervisors.  Elections of Supervisor
 s are conducted by the Ohio Soil and Water Conservation Commission pursuan
 t to rules it adopts under Chapter 119. of the Revised Code.  The five pub
 licly-elected members of the Board of Supervisors serve\, unpaid\, for thr
 ee-year terms. \n\nEnabled under Ohio Revised Code 940\, soil and water co
 nservation districts are political subdivisions of the State of Ohio organ
 ized along county boundaries.  Licking Soil and Water receives non-mandate
 d funding from the Licking County Board of Commissioners\, local municipal
 ities and from the state as match funding.\n\nThe five Supervisors should 
 represent our county's soil conservation and water conservation needs in r
 ural\, suburban and urban settings\, on farmland and in our backyards and 
 public lands.  They voluntarily work with community members and organizati
 ons to encourage wise use of our land and water. \n\nLandowners and reside
 nts of Licking County can vote for Supervisors three ways: \n1- Via absent
 ee ballot starting Wednesday\, October 16th at the Licking Soil & Water of
 fice\, \n2- Via absentee ballot by mail\, the downloadable form below\, an
 d\n3- From 5:30-6:30 p.m.\, immediately prior to the Licking Soil & Water 
 Annual Banquet at The Grove By the River on Wednesday\, November 6th.\n
