 ulture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) encourages all farmers and FSA pro
 gram participants to take part in the Licking County Committee election no
 mination process.\n\nFSA’s county committees are a critical component of t
 he day-to-day operations of FSA and allow grassroots input and local admin
 istration of federal farm programs.\n\nCommittees are comprised of locally
  elected agricultural producers responsible for the fair and equitable adm
 inistration of FSA farm programs in their counties. Committee members are 
 accountable to the Secretary of Agriculture. If elected\, members become p
 art of a local decision making and farm program delivery process.\n\nA cou
 nty committee is composed of three to 11 elected members from local admini
 strative areas (LAA). Each member serves a three-year term. One-third of t
 he seats on these committees are open for election each year.\n\nCounty co
 mmittees may have an appointed advisor to further represent the local inte
 rests of underserved farmers. Underserved producers are beginning\, women 
 and other minority farmers and landowners and/or operators who have limite
 d resources.\n\nAll nomination forms for the 2020 election must be postmar
 ked or received in the local USDA service center by Aug. 3\, 2020. For mor
