Nick Garavuso, Stormwater Specialist

Nick Garavuso is Soil & Waters' newest Stormwater Specialist. Raised here in Licking County, Nick was raised around nature and agriculture his whole life and is familiar with the area. He grew up loving nature, birdwatching, often hunting, trapping, fishing, and exploring the wilderness and creeks as much as possible. 

Nick graduated from Hocking College in 2018 with an associate degree in wildlife management and is currently working on a bachelor's degree in wildlife conservation from Unity College and is planning to graduate in August of 2024. Nick has worked in a variety of positions, including The City of Pataskala Parks department doing park maintenance; he spent time in Haliburton Nature Preserve in Canada while at hocking college for a research project, Lopez Island Washington in Spencer Spit State Park, where he worked as a park aide, worked as a research technician for a graduate student in West Virginia taking turtle and small mammal Data, as well as various customer service positions. 

Nick will assist with urbanized communities’ stormwater requirements, inspecting erosion and sediment control measures on construction sites, helping landowners with questions and concerns on their land, and working with various committees and partnering organizations.
