Percy Neff-Friel, Americorps Buckeye Lake Watershed Coordinator
Percy is Licking Soil and Water’s AmeriCorps Buckeye Lake Watershed Coordinator. He is a recent graduate of Miami University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Geology. His academic background emphasized hands-on fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and data-driven research across both environmental and zoological sciences.
With training in biological monitoring, chemistry, and data analysis, Percy brings a strong scientific foundation to watershed coordination. His experience includes collecting and interpreting field data, working with laboratory methods, and applying research skills to understand ecological systems and water quality trends.
As the Buckeye Lake Watershed Coordinator, Percy works with Buckeye Lake for Tomorrow, Licking County Soil and Water, and community partners to support watershed health through water quality monitoring, public outreach, and education. He is especially interested in using science-based data to inform outreach efforts and help connect community members to the health of their local waterways.
