World Wildlife Conservation Day

Sunday, December 4, 2022

Wildlife Conservation Day, celebrated on the 4th of December, seeks to raise awareness, reflect, and act against threats facing endangered plants and animals globally. A study conducted by the United Nations (UN) shows that approximately one million animal and plant species are now facing extinction – many of which have been predicted to become extinct within decades. Wildlife conservation is the act of protecting endangered and near-extinct species by preserving their natural habitat.
