Winter Seed Sowing Workshop
Native Ohio plants are essential to pollinators, local food webs and ecosystems. Despite high demand for pollinator-friendly flowers and shrubs, many plants native to Ohio are difficult to find and buy locally. The timing and techniques for growing native plants from seed are different than those used for vegetable garden plants like cucumbers or tomatoes.
Learn how to grow your own native plants for your garden at one of three hands-on winter sowing workshops. Learn a simple “set it and forget it" method to germinate native Ohio seeds–no greenhouse, grow lights or other fancy equipment required!
